Dr. George Sich is Aiken’s 2020 Top Podiatrist

Dr. George Sich, assistant professor and practicing physician for Augusta University, was awarded Aiken’s Choice Top Doc 2020 for Podiatrist by the Aiken Standard. The winners were announced Jan. 26 and a celebration for the Top Docs was Feb. 4 at Woodside Plantation Country Club in Aiken. 

Sich is a podiatric surgeon specializing in the treatment of foot, ankle and lower extremity pathology. His treatment involves medical, orthotic, footwear, non-surgical and surgical options.

He received his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering and at Cincinnati College of Engineering. He earned his medical degree from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, part of the Chicago Medical School. He completed a podiatric medical and surgical residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Allentown/Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Sich sees podiatry patients at Augusta University Care Center locations in Aiken and Edgefield, South Carolina, as well as Augusta VA Medical Center.
