Do you know your blood glucose levels? Find out at the annual Diabetes Fair.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, more than 1 in 10 Georgia adults have diabetes.

To bring awareness for National Diabetes Month, the second annual Diabetes Fair will take place on Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Children’s Hospital of Georgia lobby. There will be information about diabetes, exercising and healthy eating habits. There will also be many knowledgeable staff volunteers to answer health care questions.

Participants will have the opportunity to have their blood glucose levels checked, as well as blood pressure, height, weight and body mass index (BMI). There will be giveaways and door prizes.

The health fair is free and open to everyone, especially staff, faculty and students. For more information about the fair, contact Jenny Grimm.
