Dental College of Georgia dean selected to advise dental leaders

Dr. Carol Lefebvre, dean of the Dental College of Georgia, has been selected as one of five U.S. dental deans to serve as a faculty advisor for the American Dental Education Association Leadership Institute.

The Leadership Institute is a year-long program designed to develop promising individuals at academic dental institutions to become future leaders in dental and higher education. Faculty advisors are assigned a peer group of five to six fellows and meet with them to create career development plans and facilitate peer group conversations. In addition, advisors review applications, select the LI class and select awardees for LI scholarships.

The DCG will be well-represented as Dr. Alan Furness, assistant dean of patient services, was selected as a fellow for the coming year.
