The 13th Annual Costa Layman Health Fair was featured in the Augusta Chronicle. The health fair is an interdisciplinary effort among faculty, students and volunteers that provides rural farmworkers bilingual access to health care education and services, including vision checks, blood pressure screenings and dental exams.
“These workers, just like many other workers, don’t have the opportunity to access health care on a regular basis,” said Lee Ann Liska, CEO of Augusta University Medical Center, “By having all of that here, they don’t have to take time out of their busy personal, work or family schedules to have all of them in one place.”
