"Most of these patients who have worse diabetic retinopathy belong to vulnerable populations that our free clinics serve," says Tommy Bui.
“I always wanted to be a counselor; I feel it’s my mission in life. I don't want to leave this earth knowing that was something in my heart I didn’t go for,” says ShDonna Drumgoole.
"I wanted to set an example for my children. No matter what stage in life you're at, it's never too late to learn," says Tasha Barber.
Augusta University's Spring Commencement Ceremonies will feature three student speakers: Steve Jones, Ta'zheara Butts and Christina Waller.
“He is the student that asks the really good questions and often challenges thinking and concepts at a deep level,” says Tom Colbert, PhD.
"I was determined not to give up my dream of completing my doctorate," says Lisa Byrd, EdD.
"Her effort is relentless; she is truly a team player and is a person that I can count on to serve," says Celeste Stewart.
The Office of New Student and Family Transitions took home a second award for its 2024 LEAP Week programming.
"It was never a competition for us. We got a lot closer when we started nursing school. We decided to help each other succeed," say Azalea and Frazhier Lagora.
