Zach Powell, DMD, will be the keynote speaker at AU’s Graduate Hooding and Commencement Ceremony at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10.
“This was so thrilling for me that so many people were curious about the project, and I was so eager to tell them as much as I could," says Madden Jones.
“I was so excited because I've had all of these leadership opportunities over the last four years; I just feel like this honors all that work," says Ana-Sophia Chung.
“The launch of Jag360 marks a transformative step in how Augusta University supports our students from enrollment through graduation,” says Stanley Singleton, PhD.
"AU and this program have provided the perfect environment to grow, change and step into adulthood,” says Jayvon Nougaisse.
“The TRIO SSS grant is more than funding; it is an investment in potential that will empower our students to persist and succeed,” says AU President Russell T. Keen.
"What excites me the most is being a part of a network of current and former National Board for Certified Counselors fellows and having access to this wealth of information."
"AU is filled with support systems with transfer students and every student in mind," says Dylan Jacobson.
“We hope that Fresh Check Day encourages open, ongoing conversations about mental health,” says Annie Carr.
Seven AU alumna were finalists for their respective school districts for Teacher of the Year honors.
The initiative gives first-year, first-generation students the chance to graduate debt-free, while providing mentorship, leadership and academic support.
"We’re not only supporting their education but also strengthening the health care infrastructure in Georgia’s underserved regions," says David Hess, MD.
“Convocation invites our students to become part of our AU family and establishes a sense of belonging on the front end of college," says Elizabeth Huggins, EdD.
Augusta University welcomes the Class of 2029, the largest incoming class to date.
“My career has taken me into a newer clinical area, and it’s been rewarding to broaden my expertise with exciting challenges," says Natalie Horseman.
Over the past 12 years, Government Relations at Augusta University has recruited more than 20 outstanding students to participate in internships at the U.S. Capitol.
"Maddie’s story is a reminder that often the most powerful thing we can do is simply talk to each other and be kind," says C. Neil Davenport.
“It’s our community, and I feel very proud to be a part of it and to be able to help. I’ve built my skills as someone who speaks Spanish and English," says Elisa Jenks.
“I want them to do something that they can actually put on their resumes and have a chance to work on a public history project," says Melissa DeVelvis, PhD.
"For a student’s first time looking in the microscope, everything looks the same, so it was more like giving them an idea of what we see,” says Juan Manuel Ramiro Diaz, PhD.
