Bloomberg News: Augusta economy showing growth, says Medcalfe

Simon Medcalfe, a finance and economics professor at Augusta University’s Hull College of Business, says that based on the latest index report — released last week — the view from up high looks pretty good.

A rising index suggests greater potential for economic growth, while a declining one suggests business conditions that could lead to retraction.

“It’s a really simple measure: Up is good, down is bad,” Medcalfe said.
