Augusta University Health will host the 12th annual Patient- and Family-Centered Care (PFCC) Conference on Jan. 17 in the Lee Auditorium.
The conference is interdisciplinary and geared toward all medical center staff, faculty, clinicians and health professions students. You can choose to attend either the morning session (8-11:30 a.m.) or the afternoon session (1-4:30 p.m.), which will be the same content for each.
Registration is now open for the PFCC Conference, and registration will include a light breakfast for morning participants and refreshments for afternoon participants.
Don’t miss your chance to hear experts speaking to this year’s theme: E3 – OWN IT: Every Person. Every Encounter. Every Time.
Before the conference, you have an opportunity to nominate those who exemplify the tenets of patient- and family-centered care. You have until Dec. 7 to submit your nominations, with the nominees recognized and award recipients announced on Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the PFCC Celebration Program.
In addition, those with a patient- and family-centered project or initiative that needs funds can consider applying for the $5,000 PFCC IMPACT Award.
This award focuses on rewarding innovation through interprofessional participation. The goal is to create sustainable patient- and family-centered care initiatives, supported by preliminary data, to impact the patient experience and health outcomes.
Funded through a special PFCC Foundation Fund, the deadline to apply for the PFCC IMPACT Award is Jan. 4.
