Filming planned at Children’s Hospital of Georgia

An initiative by an Augusta agency has succeeded in bringing a major film project to the Children’s Hospital of Georgia.

Reflecting Pool Productions, an affiliate of the Augusta Film Office, has been working with Augusta University staff for the last couple of months to pave the way for the filming of a major faith-based film about a child fighting cancer. Last week, an agreement was reached that makes this film a reality.

Filming of The Reason is scheduled to continue filming at CHOG March 1-2 and March 15-17.

While we have been assured that the group will do its best to minimize disruptions, especially in patient care areas, a production of this scope involves a lot of people, including several dozen members of the movie crew who will be working on everything from set assembly to hair and makeup.

Though this opportunity certainly presents challenges to our staff, it is a fantastic chance for us to showcase our wonderful facility, excellent services and outstanding people, and we encourage you to be courteous and professional with all our movie guests.
