Thursday's event will feature keynote speaker Thomas McDonald, DMD, followed by poster presentations and the vendor and career fair.

The 31st annual Vendor Fair and Research & Table Clinic Day will be Thursday, Feb. 13, at the J. Harold Harrison Education Commons.

The Dental College of Georgia Associate Dean of Research’s office and the DCG chapter of American Student Dental Association will play host to the event, which begins at 12:15 p.m. with the fifth annual David H. Pashley Learn-and-Lunch lecture, “Finding Your Niche in Dentistry,” presented by Thomas R. McDonald, DMD.

McDonald, who received his degree from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry, previously served on the faculty of Augusta University Dental College of Georgia (formerly Medical College of Georgia) as a clinical instructor of restorative sciences. He is a frequent lecturer in the area of occlusion, restorative dentistry, esthetics and provisional restorations.

The “Learn-and-Lunch” lecture will be followed by a research poster session and vendor exhibition in the Education Commons lobby and in room GB-1120. There will be more than 50 posters highlighting dental or dental-related research and innovative clinical treatments being conducted at The Dental College of Georgia and Fort Gordon. The vendor exhibition will have more than 40 companies represented.

An award ceremony will recognize the winning research presentations and all of the presenters and mentors. The winners of the DMD with Distinction 2020 will also be presented at the award ceremony.

DCG student classes have been cancelled and attendance for the Learn-and-Lunch lecture and vendor exhibition is mandatory for all students.
