Annual university tree lighting to be held Dec. 7

Augusta University and the Summerville Neighborhood Association are hosting the university’s annual Lighting of the Tree event at 6 p.m. on Dec. 7 at the Summerville Campus. The event will center in front of the Maxwell Theatre at 2500 Walton Way.

The event will feature caroling, crafts, food trucks and photos with Santa. Entry is free to all, including faculty, staff, students and community members.

Guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate to the Open Paws Food Pantry for students.
