Annual Oral Cancer Walk was huge success for the Student National Dental Association

The Student National Dental Association at the Dental College of Georgia hosted the 5th Annual Oral Cancer Walk on Saturday, April 21, at the North Augusta Greenway.

The event turned into a full length 5K with almost 50 students, faculty, survivors and their families participating.

Beginning with student-led stretches and testimonies from local oral cancer survivors, the event offered the opportunity to hear survivors as they shared both their stories and provided meaningful insight on their diagnosis and treatment.

The event included a lunch for all participants and volunteers, hosted by the Student National Dental Association.

The SNDA works to raise awareness and funding for oral cancer research, and this year’s Oral Cancer Walk was a great success.
