9 units awarded for lack of heathcare-associated infections in 2015

On May 20, several units throughout the Augusta University Medical Center earned recognition for their lack of heathcare-associated infections (HAI) during 2015. For floor units, Gold Medals were awarded for CLABSI and/or CAUTI prevention, and in the ICU, Gold Medals were awarded for prevention of CAUTI, CLABSI and VAP. Nine certificates were awarded in total, and several units were double recipients. One unit in particular, 4 West, was recognized for having zero HAIs in the past year.
