Renovations at Roosevelt Warm Springs blends history with modern, patient-centric amenities

MEDIA ADVISORY FOR TUESDAY, NOV. 14

WHAT: Roosevelt Warm Springs Rehabilitation & Specialty Hospitals will cut the ribbon on its newly-renovated rehabilitation hospital.

BACKGROUND: The entrance lobby to the facility has been relocated in the East Wing with a new roundabout drive and canopy so it is more welcoming and accessible to patients and their families. All patient rooms on the third floor of the East Wing have received new flooring, new paint and new ceilings. The nurseโ€™s stations have new counters and countertops. The outdoor porches on the East Wing have been restored and reopened to the outside, so patients and their families can enjoy an open-air atmosphere once again.

AU Health assumed management of the rehabilitation and acute-care services at Roosevelt Warm Springs in June 2013 in conjunction with the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency.
