Proceeds from the sale support the Pink Pumpkin Party, which is raising money to provide free mammograms for women who can’t afford one.

Pre-orders will be taken online from now until Sept. 15, 2017 at 2 p.m. After that date, shirts can be purchased at the Pink Pumpkin Party on Sept. 30, 2017 or other pop-up locations throughout the month of October.

Pick up times and locations are as follows:

  • Friday, Sept. 29: 9-11 a.m. and 1-4 p.m.
AN-1305, Georgia Cancer Center Outpatient Services clinic
  • Saturday, Sept. 30: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. It is the second most common cancer in women. Men can develop breast cancer too, but it is not as common.

The Pink Pumpkin Party is a community event inviting breast cancer survivors and families to paint and decorate pumpkins. There will also be information available about breast cancer, mammograms and support programs at the Georgia Cancer Center.
