AU Health, Augusta GreenJackets celebrate breast cancer survivors

Multimedia journalists from two TV stations, News 12 NBC 26 and Fox 54, spent part of their Saturday at Lake Olmstead Stadium for the Augusta GreenJackets game against the Lexington Legends.

AU Health teamed up with the GreenJackets to celebrate cancer survivors with “Pink in the Park” night. The first 1,500 fans received a free AU Health pink tote bag. The GreenJackets players wore pink jerseys that were auctioned off to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

Above is the clip that ran on News 12 NBC 26 at 11 o’Clock Saturday. Below, you’ll also find a link to Fox 54’s story about Barbara Lowe, a two-time cancer survivor, who threw out the first pitch before the game.
