Russell Joel Brown is from Augusta. Although he’s enjoyed a lengthy career as a Broadway stage actor, he was studying to be a doctor at Morehouse – until he had a revelational moment. Today, Russell Joel Brown recalls the transition from struggling student to successful stage star as he continues the conversation with Brenda Durant, Executive Director of the Greater Augusta Arts Council.
