GPBAugustaLogo_800x600Karen Brown is a world renowned ballerina, arts advocate and dance instructor, and she’s from Augusta. In this edition of The Augusta Listening Project, a joint venture between GPB Augusta and The Greater Augusta Arts Council, we’re meeting people who’ve built successful careers in the arts based on a foundation that took its form here in Augusta. Karen Brown sat down with Brenda Durant, Executive Director of The Greater Augusta Arts Council, in the sanctuary of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church on 12th Street at Laney Walker Boulevard to share her story for The Augusta Listening Project.
