WFXG: Meds to Beds helps ease patients from hospital to home

AU Medical Center recently launched the Meds to Beds program, a novel patient-centric approach to discharge care in which a hospital pharmacist delivers a patient’s medications directly to the bedside just prior to checkout. This is on the only Meds to Beds program in Augusta and it is helping to reduce readmission rates to the medical center, according to Program Director Nick Wimpey.
