Watch: 73 questions with a neurology physician

Dr. Elizabeth Rutkowski, neurologist at AU Health, walks us through her journey to neurology.

She shares that completing her first neurology exam made her fall in love with the specialty. Rutkowski adds the multitude of subspecialties in neurology were also intriguing to her.

Rutkowski explains that neurology is a growing field because neurologists treat patients of all ages, meaning job opportunities are endless.

For aspiring neurologists, Rutkowski says the best way to prepare for this specialty is to shadow someone in the field and prepare for the neurology exam. She adds that aspiring neurologists should stay interested and curious, because the more curious you are, the wiser you’ll be.

This video series, created by Medical College of Georgia student Andy Nguyen, highlights medical specialties to give a different perspective on the life of a full-time attending or resident physician.
