Building
Employee Health and Wellness will move to Professional Building 1, with services resuming April 20.

Uniform Fit-Line event continues through end of the week

Employees will have an opportunity to try on and purchase uniforms Aug. 21-26.

In order to provide employees with their first opportunity to try-on and purchase uniforms, our AU Health uniform vending partner Scrubs & Beyond will host a Fit-Line event Aug. 21-26 on the first floor in Professional Building 1. If you’re not familiar with this building, it’s the old dental school building adjacent to AU Medical Center that now houses the Digestive Health Center and the Carlos and Marguerite Mason Solid Organ Transplant Center.

For convenience, employees will be able to make purchases using vouchers, payroll deduction, cash, and credit or debit cards. There will be private dressing areas and mirrors for an optimal fitting experience. In addition, the Fit-Line event opens early each morning and extends through Saturday. Here are the days and times:

  • Monday, Aug. 21 – Thursday, Aug. 24
Hours: Please note — the original start time for the Aug. 21 launch has been delayed until 10 a.m. It will conclude at 6 p.m. The hours for the rest of the week remain 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Friday, Aug. 25
    Hours: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Saturday, Aug. 26
    Hours: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Information on job codes and colors is available for review in previous stories and on PAWS in the Discipline Colors menu selection.

If you are unable to attend the Fit-Line event, there will be other opportunities to try-on and order your new uniforms through an on-campus retail store and a retail website that are in the works. More communication to come on the launch of those options.

UPDATES:

Are employees of the University system included in this initiative?

Augusta University employees will not be required to wear standardized uniforms as part of the initial implementation of the AU Health Uniform Branding Initiative. The uniform branding initiative only applies to Medical Center and Medical Associates employees that will receive a voucher.

However, as we roll-out the initiative, we will assess the impact of standardized uniform wear and the potential need to recommend university employees’ requirements to wear standardize uniforms in the future.

Are physicians included in this initiative?

No, physicians are not included at this time. At this time, physicians should continue to follow the Augusta
University branding guidelines here and place lab coat orders through the Jagstore. Surgical scrub uniforms will be updated through this project and continue to be provided. No color designation for physicians has been identified under this initiative.

Please continue to submit any questions or comments through the Uniform Branding Initiative feedback form on PAWS.
