The Augusta Chronicle: Linder featured in 8 over 80 list

Earlier this summer, columnist Bill Kirby with The Augusta Chronicle suggested that the editorial team come up with an Eight Over 80 list, one that would showcase some local men and women who have make Augusta a great place to live and work.

Chronicle readers nominated quite a few people, including Dr. Charles Linder, chairman of the department of pediatrics at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University and pediatrician-in-chief at Children’s Hospital of Georgia. Linder made the short list, and was featured in the special section in the Sunday edition of the newspaper.

Linder told The Chronicle that he invested in the future through his work as a pediatrician, caring for several generations of children in the community. He turned 80 in May and stays healthy through golf, exercise and working in his yard.
