Bernard Roberson, administrative director of Patient- and Family-Centered Care at Augusta University, recently shared tips on how to successfully recruit patients and family members to serve as patient advisers for The Beryl Institute, a global community of practice dedicated to improving the patient experience through collaboration and shared knowledge.
Patient advisers work with Augusta University on planning, design, policies, and other decision-making at the university’s affiliated health system. The institution is a pioneer in Patient- and Family-Centered Care and has earned various awards and recognition for the practice and teaching of this philosophy.
