An armed robbery occurred on the Summerville campus of Augusta University around 8 p.m. Friday, according to Public Safety officials. No one was hurt, and there is no pending threat. The situation stemmed from a “Craig’s List meet-up” for a transaction near the fountain, which did not involve anyone associated with the university, according to Maj. Eugene Maxwell. Augusta University Public Safety is working with Richmond County Sheriff’s Office to identify and apprehend the suspect.
