President Keel gives updates on state budget, latest COVID-19 protocol

President Brooks A. Keel, PhD, held a virtual town hall Jan. 18 to provide updates on the Georgia state budget and how it will affect Augusta University, as well as the latest on COVID-19 and its impact.

Keel said the proposed budget bodes well for the university, with Gov. Brian Kemp calling for full-time state employees to receive pay raises and Augusta University to receive increased funding for medical education and $8.7 million to renovate the Central Energy Plant heating and cooling system on the Health Sciences Campus.
