WHEN: 1-5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13 and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, in the Natalie and Lansing B. Lee Jr. Auditorium, Augusta University Health Sciences campus

ABOUT: Moretz, associate vice chancellor for patient- and family-centered care at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, is former director of Family Services Development for the Medical College of Georgia. While at MCG, Moretz worked with hospital administrators and clinicians to develop the internationally recognized patient- and family-centered care philosophy, which has one of the largest patient advisory programs in the country. The last of the four parts, “Hand in Hand,” features Moretz’s son, Daniel, who lost an extensive heart battle just before the film was released.

Moretz will speak to nurses, physicians and other healthcare providers at Augusta University about “Connecting the Dots to the Patient Experience.”

OPPORTUNITIES: Photo and video opportunities will be available. To arrange an interview with Moretz or to cover this event, please call Kelly Jasper at 706-513-0719.
