Medical College of Georgia pediatrician has advice to help children stay active

Keeping children active can be a challenge, especially during school breaks.

“Find something they enjoy and use that to get them active,” said April L. Hartman, MD, the Hahn Endowed Chair in Pediatrics at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University.

If children enjoy watching YouTube, then parents can create a dance contest from the videos they watch, for example.

Hartman shares more ideas for parents, such as getting children to run around parks, swimming in a pool or playing pickleball, in the video below.
