Medical College of Georgia alumnus and psychiatry pioneer Dr. Hervey M. Cleckley, perhaps best known for co-authoring the book The Three Faces of Eve, is being inducted this month into the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame.

The former chair of the medical college’s Department of Neuropsychiatry (now known as the Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior), Cleckley helped pioneer modern psychopathy research and the study of multiple personality disorders. However, few people know about his record-breaking days as a high school and collegiate athlete.

Read more about Cleckley’s accomplishments in The Augusta Chronicle.
