Kickstart your semester with Weeks of Welcome

The start of a new semester means there are a ton of events to welcome our new and returning students.

Check out opportunities during this semester’s Weeks of Welcome:

Planner Giveaway

9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7 at the Academic Success Center

The No. 1 lesson learned this fall, according to students and faculty, is the importance of time management. Come by the ASC to pick up a free planner and sign up for a time management workshop. Last semester was a doozy, but you know what to expect now and can start strong. Together, we’ll make this semester great.

Glow Mini Golf

7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8 at the Campus Recreation Center

After you finish your first week of classes, grab some friends and come over to the Campus Recreation Center to have fun on the nine-hole course. The lights will be turned down and the music will be turned up! This is a great opportunity to engage with other AU students, hang out and make some new friends. We hope you will find this to be an enjoyable and unique experience.

Drive-In Movie Night

5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9 at the JSAC Field

The Fraternity and Sorority Life office, Multicultural Student Engagement Center and the Jaguar Production Crew is hosting a drive-in movie night featuring “Get on Up” and “Get Out.” Drive-in movie snacks and candy will be available upon entry.

Spring Kickoff with The CREW

Noon Thursday, Jan. 14 in various locations across campus

Students will receive a food box and a giveaway box at both the Summerville and Health Sciences locations. Students will also have the opportunity to sign up to attend the ThinkFast Game Show, which will take place at 8 p.m. in the Campus Recreation Center.

Welcome Back Bash hosted by Greek Life

6-9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19 in the Jaguar Student Activities Center

Greek Life will be hosting a Welcome Back Bash for all students! Come stop by for food, music and a ton of fun. You can walk away from this carnival with great prizes and new friends.
