Jeff Snow named executive VP of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement

Following an extensive national search, Augusta University President Russell T. Keen has announced Jeff Snow, a distinguished leader in philanthropy, community partnerships and alumni engagement, will join the university as executive vice president for Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement. Snow, who currently serves as the vice president of University Advancement for Milwaukee School of Engineering, officially begins on Aug. 26.

“Jeff’s vision and leadership have led to the growth of each institution he has served, including securing funding for state-of-the-art facilities and creating new ways for engagement by alumni and community and corporate partners,” Keen said. “I am excited to work alongside him as we work to continue to enhance the experiences of all faculty, staff, student and alumni at Augusta University.”

“I am honored to be selected to serve in this role at Augusta University and to join the team of dedicated professionals in the Office of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement,” Snow said. “I look forward to engaging with alumni, donors and community partners to advance the university’s mission. President Keen’s vision for Augusta University is inspiring, and I am eager to work with members of the university community to secure support for strategic initiatives.”

As the vice president of University Advancement at MSOE, he has led the development and alumni affairs initiatives. This encompasses a strong development program, active alumni relations and effective advancement services. He has grown the team and transformed the way the university approaches advancement, alumni engagement and corporate partnerships.

One of his most significant accomplishments there has been the launch of the university’s first comprehensive fundraising campaign, the ambitious $125 million Next Bold Step Campaign. To date, this campaign has raised $91 million, with $63 million already secured toward the $76.5 million goal designated for the Robert D. Kern Engineering Innovation Center.

During his tenure, Snow has also successfully directed fundraising efforts that have raised $100 million for significant campus projects such as the Dwight and Dian Diercks Computational Science Hall and the WE Energies STEM Center.

Snow has launched programs that enhance community engagement, including the W. Wallace Cannon, Jr. Alumni Society, improved Homecoming events, and the growth of MSOE Giving Day, which has thrived since 2018. He restructured MSOE’s Corporate Board, initiated the Faculty and Staff Campaign, achieving a record 65% participation rate in FY25, and established both the Parent and Family Fund and the Parent’s Leadership Circle Recognition Society, along with the Retired Faculty and Staff Annual Luncheon.

Snow brings over 30 years of experience in higher education development to Augusta and is no stranger to Georgia as he has held development positions at Valdosta State University and Georgia Southern University.

Before joining MSOE, Snow was the director of college advancement for the University of Kentucky College of Engineering, where he managed the planning and execution of a $110 million capital campaign. He also worked for the University of Central Florida, where he built a team that grew the donor base from 4,600 to 9,000 in five years, while increasing annual giving from $2.1 million to $6 million.

Snow earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from Valdosta State, a master’s in education from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from UCF.

“I would like to thank Ms. Yvonne Turner and the entire search committee, the AU Human Resources team and all the faculty, staff and stakeholders who participated in the search process,” Keen said. “Additionally, I am grateful for Jason Kennedy, Chesley Bolick and the team at LOOP Recruiting for their diligence, professionalism and partnership during this process. Finally, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Mrs. Tina Baggott for her service as interim vice president for development in the Office of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement through Aug. 26. Tina will continue her interim leadership as executive vice president for Strategic Partnerships and Economic Development.”
