The safety of students and employees is the university’s top priority. Augusta University is closely monitoring the approaching winter storm. Out of an abundance of caution, in-person classes will now be remote on Tuesday, Jan. 21, and in-person activities will be canceled. Faculty should work with their department chairs and deans to ensure missed in-person instructional content is covered through remote learning and to ensure continuity in their respective courses.
Residence hall students will receive additional details regarding transportation and dining from Housing and Residence Life. Atrium Dining will be open on a regular schedule.
Students and faculty with clinical responsibilities will receive additional information from their leadership. Please note, Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center and clinics will remain open. Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center and clinics employees are expected to report to work as scheduled. If you are an AU employee who works in Wellstar facilities, please report as scheduled.
Augusta University employees are encouraged to work remotely. Essential personnel will be contacted by their supervisor if they need to report in person.
Please follow the university’s social media accounts for more information and look for updates at augusta.edu.
We will make further announcements regarding scheduling for the remainder of the week when more conclusive weather details become available.
