This week’s installment of Heroes in Health Care begins in the Multiple Sclerosis Clinic, where Dr. Suzanne Smith and the clinic staff are in high demand.
“Dr. Suzanne Smith is the consummate physician in every respect: compassionate, wise, understanding and brilliant,” one patient said. Another added, “Dr. Smith’s staff reflects her in their professionalism, courtesy and knowledge.”
Next, we move to Pediatric Cardiology, where Sonographer Kyle West, Dr. William Lutin and the entire staff earned some very high praise.
“All of the people we encountered during this experience were so positive and informing,” this patient’s guardian said. “This was a stressful situation, and it was eased by the staff. Kyle in Echo has the greatest personality and is so good with children. Dr. Lutin is a blessing!”
Pediatric Surgery Section Chief Dr. Walter Pipkin earned a special shout out.
“Dr. Pipkin is a wonderful caregiver to our son,” this patient’s guardian said. “He is very knowledgeable about our concerns, and we trust him with our son’s care.”
As did the physicians and staff in the Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program.
“I came to talk about kidney transplant,” this patient said. “All of my doctors and my RN were nice to me. I want to thank everyone for their help in every way … God be with you all.”
And lastly, we turn to Pediatric Urology, where one patient’s guardian had nothing but nice things to say about the staff.
“I was very impressed with your staff throughout the entire process,” a patient’s guardian said. “We had an urgent situation, but not all of the staff were aware of that (nor did they need to be, in some cases). Everyone treated us with courtesy, respect, concern and the utmost professionalism.”
Please join us in congratulating our colleagues for their excellent work and their dedication to providing memorable and personal care.
