GreenJackets baseball players to visit the Children’s Hospital of Georgia

EVENT: The Augusta GreenJackets baseball team, a Single-A Affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, will visit patients and their families at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia. Since health reasons prevent these children from attending a baseball game, players will bring a little bit of baseball magic to their hospital rooms.

TIME: 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 24 – Please arrive by 10:55 a.m. as the media will be taken as a group to observe as players visit various floors and units at the hospital.

LOCATION: Meet in CHOG lobby at 1446 Harper Street. Media parking is available in the circular drive in “Delivery Vehicle” spaces and in adjacent parking decks.

OPPORTUNITIES: In order to respect patient privacy, specific patients and families will be designated for video, photos and interviews with the media. If you are interested in covering this event, please call Danielle Harris at 706-564-9282 to confirm your attendance.
