Get ready for exams with Finals Frenzy

It’s almost time for finals to begin and fall semester to end for Augusta University students. In order to help make those exams a little less stressful, the university is hosting its Finals Frenzy all around campus with different events and activities to partake in.

“We hope that students take advantage to see how these staff members appreciate them for being involved through the semester,” said Paul Bradley Jr., program coordinator for student involvement. “Good luck with finals and we look forward to seeing you at our upcoming spring events.”

Nov. 30 – Dec. 6

Stress Zone:
This event is put on by Reese Library and is focused on helping students de-stress. The library will be blocking off a corner of the 2nd floor, and will provide items like coloring books, stress balls and more for students to take a break with. Stress Zone will be from 12-1 p.m. until Dec. 6.

Dec. 5

Winter Holidays Around the World:
Sponsored by SLE and The Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI), come stop in to the JSAC breezeway and explore various winter holidays from around the world. The goal of this event is to bring attention to various winter holidays and engage students in activities from other cultures. The event will last from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Campus Holiday Lighting & Movie Night:
At 6 p.m. watch the tree lighting by the fountain outside Maxwell Theatre. After the lighting, stay for a viewing of the student-voted movie “Elf” on the Maxwell Theatre lawn.

Dec. 6

Painting with a Twist at Oak Hall:
From 5-7 p.m. come paint at Oak Hall and take your mind off your studies. The event is sponsored by Oak Hall and the Wellness Center. All supplies are provided for you.

Dec. 7

Therapy dogs:
Come to the Greenblatt Library and release some stress with a furry friend! Therapy dogs will be in the library from noon to 1 p.m.

Build a Jaguar and Ugly Sweater Holiday Party:
Stuff your own toy jaguar for yourself or as a gift! The event is first-come-first-serve and supplies are limited. Come enjoy light refreshments, holiday music and a contest for the ugliest Christmas sweater at Oak Hall starting at 7 p.m.

Dec. 8

Build your own Finals Frenzy Pack:
Departments involved with Finals Frenzy have generously provided supplies for students to create their own finals pack! The table will be set up outside of the Reese Library with items like post-its and blue books, this is an opportunity for students to stock up before studying! The library and SLE will provide bags and baskets for students to use. Get there before it’s gone! The event lasts from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Dec. 11

Finals Feast:
This yearly tradition is brought to you by The CREW, and catered with Fat Man’s Big Man’s Breakfast Bar! This is the final event for Finals Frenzy, is free for students and served by volunteer staff members. Come eat from 6-8 p.m. and enjoy the holiday music with an appearance from Miss Augusta University.


Additional activities include Library Coffee Hours at both Greenblatt and Reese libraries, and tutoring through the Academic Success Center.
