The Jaguar Job Fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, March 21, at Christenberry Fieldhouse. Students, alumni and community members will have the opportunity to interact with over 90 employers from the Southeast. Companies will be seeking full-time and part-time employees, interns and seasonal hires, as well as recruiting for graduate programs.
“The Jaguar Job Fair is a great way to get educated about what employers are looking for,” said Julie Goley, director of AU’s Career Services. “It’s a wonderful way to get face-to-face with people. In this day and age of technology, that doesn’t often happen in a job search. It can be a little daunting going and approaching an employer that you don’t know, but that’s what they’re there for.”
Students interested in attending the event can register through Handshake. Career Services offers various resources to help in preparation, including developing a personal pitch, tips for business casual and professional attire, resume templates and samples, and tips on how to successfully engage employers at a job fair.
Employers in attendance include Aflac, AmbioPharm, Inc., Boys and Girls Club of Greater Augusta, Columbia County School District, Emory Healthcare, Episcopal Day School, Federal Bureau of Prisons – FCI Edgefield, Hull Property Group, Penske Truck Leasing, Walgreens and more.

Many of the businesses will be hiring for several roles. Aurubis Richmond, LLC, is one such company that hires accountants, engineers, chemistry professionals, human resources and more.
“Be confident and come with a really great handshake,” said Stacey Lewis, recruiting manager for Aurubis. “Really listen to each of the employers at the job fair to understand what they do and what type of positions they have and be able to respond to them. Come prepared to tell us why your background would be a great fit for a role.”
Textron Specialized Vehicles is another avenue down which Augusta University students can travel. The company values the innovation and creativity that students bring to the table, especially for internship positions.
“TSV offers a vast variety of opportunities from sales to engineering,” said Shiamante Grimes, Textron university relations lead. “Our internship program is a 10-week paid internship and allows you the opportunity to interact with executive leadership and experience what it is like to have a seat at the table. Stand out during the interview process by asking questions, sharing your creative ideas and understanding our business and what we do.”
Students interested in exploring state jobs will find a wide array of options with Team Georgia Careers.
“The State of Georgia is looking for self-motivated individuals ready to work hard, grow, and learn what it takes to become the best version of themselves professionally,” said Tyese Rhule, Team Georgia Careers human resources specialist. “If you’re driven and eager to make an impact, we want you to join us.”
Job fair attendees should come professionally dressed and with resumes, as they may leave the event with a future employment opportunity.
