Georgia Cancer Center and Paceline announce inaugural Cure Cancer Classic golf tournament

Paceline Ride, Inc. will host its inaugural Cure Cancer Classic on May 5 at Forest Hills Golf Club.

Health Center Credit Union will join Paceline as the ACE sponsor for this first classic and looks forward to helping champion the Paceline mission for years to come.

Like all Paceline donations, 100% of the proceeds generated by the Cure Cancer Classic will go to support innovative cancer research and the Georgia Cancer Center. The Paceline community has already funded thirteen significant projects, fueling innovative research to improve cancer prevention, advance treatments and help new breakthroughs reach more patients.

Every person can share a story of a friend or family member touched by cancer, and far too many wear the scars of their own personal battles. For this reason, the work being done at the Georgia Cancer Center is more important than ever. Every day, researchers and staff at the Georgia Cancer Center continue to reduce the burden of cancer in the state of Georgia and across the globe.

“Partners like Paceline help us connect with our community to show our appreciation for their participation, their fundraising, and their passion for the wonderful patient care and cancer research happening at our Georgia Cancer Center,” said Jorge E. Cortes, MD, director of the Georgia Cancer Center at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. “All of us at Augusta University should find ways to get involved with Paceline and the various events they plan like this golf tournament to show how much their continued support means to each of us.”

Registration for the Cure Cancer Classic is now open. Paceline and the Georgia Cancer Center are looking forward to welcoming all sponsors, teams and individual players. Please contact Cayla Long via email or by calling 843-318-4754 with sponsorship or event questions.
