Four in a row: Forbes ranks Augusta University among nation’s best employers

Once again Augusta University has been named to Forbes’ annual list of “America’s Best Employers By State.” This marks the fourth straight year AU has received the honor. Augusta University Health also made the list of top-ranked employers.

Forbes and market research company Statista compile the annual list by surveying 70,000 Americans working across 25 industry sectors. The survey considered every aspect of an employee’s experience such as working conditions, salary, potential for growth and diversity.

“It is truly humbling and an honor for Augusta University to be named one of America’s Best Employers for a fourth straight year, and for us to represent the region as the only Augusta-based employer on the list,” said Augusta University President Brooks A. Keel, PhD.

“This endorsement is a testament to our world-class faculty and staff who offer our students and patients educational opportunities and health care like no other. I remain grateful to all of Jaguar Nation for their contributions each and every day.”

Augusta University has 6,500 employees and joined the ranks of larger employers in the state including Aflac, The Home Depot and United States Postal Service. See the full list.
