Two awards have highlighted the Division of Communications and Marketing’s continued commitment to connecting patients and consumers with the services and resources they need to stay healthy and successful.
The Find a Doctor feature on Augusta University Health’s website, augustahealth.org, won a silver award from Strategic Health Care Communications in the category of Best Doctor Directory – Healthcare System during SHCC’s 17th annual eHealthcare Leadership Awards ceremony.
Aubrey Hinkson, director of marketing, said the webpage, which allows patients to search for a healthcare provider using the provider’s name, specialty, location or languages spoken, helps connect patients with the best possible physicians.
“Consumerism in healthcare is here to stay, so it is now more important than ever for us to provide information about our physicians and services in a patient-friendly way,” Hinkson said. “By sharing the care philosophies and directly linking star ratings on our physician profiles, we are able to be transparent and share how our physicians best meet the needs of our consumers.”
Augusta University Health was also recognized by the 2016 CardioVascular Advertising Awards, earning a gold award in the Academic Medical Center – Newsletter – Single category for the institution’s “Health On Time Cardiac” Newsletter, Fall 2015. Health on Time articles are also posted regularly to the health system blog, Your Health Today.
“Effective marketing is critical to an organization’s success, but it becomes even more important when ‘time is muscle,’” said Anna Aligood, a marketing strategist for Augusta University Health, who oversees the marketing strategy for Augusta University Heart and Cardiovascular Services, among others. “This award validates that we’re using effective marketing tools and best practices to reach those who are at risk for cardiovascular disease so we can serve them with the care they need – and that is only available at Augusta University Health.”
Please join us in congratulating our colleagues in the Division of Communications and Marketing for their outstanding achievements.
