Fast thoughts on HIV/AIDS from AU expert

In order to better understand the fight against HIV/AIDS and its various costs, WalletHub asked a series of questions to a panel of experts.  Dr. Arni S.R. Srinicasa Rao, associate professor of epidemiology in the department of population health sciences at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University was one of the experts asked to participate on the panel.

“Mathematical models that I develop for HIV/AIDS for understanding transmission dynamics at national and sub-national level always have some behavioral component, apart from treatment components,” said Rao. “Models would assist in prioritizing the allocation of budgets by state and local authorities.”
