Proposals for study abroad and study away programs to run in fall 2019, spring 2020 and summer 2020 are due to the study abroad committee April 1.
Those interested in submitting a proposal for a study abroad or a study away program can access the forms online on the Study Abroad Information for Faculty page.
Proposals must include the completed proposal form, contact hours form, budget form, itinerary and a course syllabus for each course associated with the program. All new and recurring programs need to be submitted in this format.
Study abroad proposals are for credit-bearing and clinical experiences outside of the United States, while study away proposals are for credit-bearing experiences within the United States.
Proposals require signatures from the department chair, appropriate department committees and the dean’s office before presenting proposals to the study abroad committee. If any issues arise, the study abroad office is available to help those with additional questions.
For those interested in teaching on one of the European Council Programs in Paris, London, Waterford, St. Petersburg, Madrid, Scotland or Berlin, applications are available through the University System of Georgia’s European Council Study Abroad.
Applications are due to the European Council March 25, 2019, for consideration to teach on a 2020 program. These applications also require signatures from the department chair, dean and the VP for Instruction and Innovation.
