The consolidation of Augusta State University and Georgia Health Sciences University provided the opportunity for a retrospective glance at the paths of these storied institutions. Members of the university community with a vested interest in the institution’s history and heritage joined forces to produce Shared Legacies: A Pictorial History of Georgia Regents University.
Featuring more than 200 photographs from our archives and accompanying narrative, the book reveals some of the people, places and events that have made this university great. Unlike previously published histories of our legacy institutions, this volume relies heavily on the photographic record, painting a colorful picture of our university that we hope will inspire an even greater future.
Copies are $30 and are available for purchase at the JagStores on both the Health Sciences and Summerville campuses or by contacting the GRU Heritage Project office at 706-721-4090. Funds from the sale of the book support the Heritage Project.
