Biasetti, Gardner awarded by the Georgia Chapter of AATSP

The Georgia Chapter of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP-GA) has recognized Dr. Giada Biasetti, assistant professor of Spanish, and Thomas Gardner, a student in the Department of English and Foreign Languages, for outstanding achievement.

Biasetti received AATSP-GA’s Professor of the Year Award. Gardner received the organization’s University Student of the Year award.

The AATSP was founded in 1917 was the mission of promoting the study and teaching of Hispanic, Luzo-Brazilian, and other related cultures, languages and literatures at all educational levels.

Biasetti and Gardner will receive their plaques at the AATSP-GA’s regional conference in Atlanta.
