Augusta University’s chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma has qualified for High Honors for the 2016-2017 academic year.
Beta Gamma Sigma is the international society serving business programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
Dr. Richard Franza, dean of the James M. Hull College of Business, received word earlier this month.
“This status is indicative of a campus where academic excellence is valued and where the faculty officers of the chapter work diligently to enhance Beta Gamma Sigma’s stature on campus,” the announcement said.
By earning High Honors, the chapter earns one Honor Roll Scholarship covering the cost of sending a student to the 2017 Global Leadership Summit in Orlando, the opportunity to nominate a chapter advisor for the Outstanding Chapter Advisor Award and the chance to nominate for two additional awards: the Business Achievement Award and the Entrepreneurial Achievement Award.
Augusta University will also be recognized during the regional dean’s conferences and during the International Conference and Annual Meeting in April.
