Augusta University recognizes National HIV Testing Day

An estimated 1.1 million people in the United States are living with HIV and Georgia ranks among the highest in the nation for people being diagnosed with the virus, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

June 27 is National HIV Testing Day and, in an effort to shed more light on this disease, Augusta University will host free, rapid HIV testing that day from 10 a.m. until  6 p.m. at Walgreens at 3228 Wrightsboro Road.

The university will also host several other testing opportunities throughout the month. For a complete list of Augusta University’s testing sites, visit csrasafetynet.org/calendar.
