Augusta University men’s basketball team hosts walk-on tryouts

The NCAA Division II National Champion runner-up Augusta University men’s basketball team will host walk-on tryouts from 3-4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2 at Christenberry Fieldhouse. Any current Augusta University student has the opportunity to try out.

All participants must bring documentation of a physical examination within the past six months of Sept. 2. They must also have a completed sickle cell test form. Also, participants should be dressed in appropriate basketball attire.

Those interested in trying out for the team must email Assistant Coach Zach Tinkham to confirm attendance at the tryout.

The Jaguars are coming off a record-setting season in which they won 33 games and appeared in the Division II national title game this past March.
