Augusta University Health, 88.3 WAFJ host parking lot prayers

Flyer for Parking Lot prayers

Augusta University Health and 88.3 WAFJ invite the public to join in parking lot prayers for our health care workers at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, in designated parking lots in the Downtown Augusta Medical District.

The brief gathering will focus on prayer and celebration of our unsung heroes and caretakers in the medical field while following social distancing requirements. This is an event for the community to encourage our medical staff at AU Health, among others, during this critical time in our country.

To participate in parking lot prayers:
  • Select an approved parking lot and park by 8:30 p.m.
  • Stay in your car
  • Turn your flashers on
  • Tune to 88.3 WAFJ

Join the community as they pray and worship in their cars outside the hospital for about 20 minutes. Security will be on site. The goal is to repeat this outpouring of love and support.

For more information about this event, please contact promotions director Jill Kauffman at 88.3 WAFJ at 803-349-8230.
