Augusta University and medical center open as normal Jan. 8

Winter storm advisories have been issued for many northern and western counties in Georgia, prompting closures of state offices in affected areas.

The Augusta University office of Critical Event Preparedness and Response is monitoring the situation closely, but we do not expect Augusta to be severely impacted.

Monday operations at the Augusta University Medical Center, clinics and classes on Augusta campuses will proceed as scheduled.
