Apply now for commencement student speaker, soloist opportunities

The Student Government Association is accepting applications for student speakers and soloists to represent the graduating class for the Fall 2022 Commencement ceremonies from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17.

The application deadline is Oct. 24.

Two student speakers will be selected, one for the undergraduate commencement ceremony and another for the graduate hooding and commencement ceremony. The graduate hooding and commencement student speaker will give the invocation during the ceremony and the undergraduate student speaker will give remarks on behalf of the graduating class.

The student soloists will lead the singing of the National Anthem as well as the Augusta University Alma Mater during their respective ceremonies.

To be considered for any of these opportunities, graduating students should fill out an application form and upload their audition video to the respective links provided below. This information is also available on the commencement website under the “Meet your Speakers” tab.
