Augusta University promotes opportunities to area students during Nuclear Science Week

Augusta University was well represented at two separate events during Nuclear Science Week.

On Wednesday, Oct. 19, students from the Richmond County Technical Career Magnet high school, Evans High and Aiken Career and Technology Center attended Nuclear Science Week Education Day, hosted by Augusta University.

Augusta University had several faculty and staff members representing a variety of areas, including nuclear medicine and technology, electronics, cyber, radiation safety and education.

Faculty and staff from Nuclear Medicine and Technology, the Cyber Institute and the Center for Undergraduate Research and Scholarship also connected with area high school students at a second Education Day held at the Kroc Center.

“The students had a great time,” said Natalie Fox of the Aiken Career and Technology Center.
