University well-represented among Arts Council winners

The Greater Augusta Arts Council just announced its 2016 Arts Awards winners, and Augusta University was well-represented.

Drew Dawson, station manager and host of GPB-Augusta, was one of six winners, which also included Professor Patricia Myers, lecturer in music.

Artist and musician Henry Wynn, who earned his BFA from Augusta State University in 1974, was another winner.

All the winners will be honored at the Greater Augusta Arts Council’s Arts Awards and Annual Meeting Dinner at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, at the Enterprise Mill Events Center. Admission to the event is $30 per person. Advanced tickets may be purchased online at the Greater Augusta Arts Council website (link).
